Leo C. Schaeffler, CPA
With more than thirty years of financial experience, Leo has accumulated a wealth of knowledge working through many financially troubled situations. His ability to quickly access and provide meaningful
information has been developed through practice in dealing with the muddied data common in many troubled situations. Leo never hesitates
to "roll up his sleeves" and dive Into information systems to determine the current status and optimal solution for his clients.
Since joining McShane Group, Leo has been instrumental in the development of solutions for a $50 million regional lumber and building materials business, a $12 million national specialty masonry company
and has acted as a chief financial officer and advisor to a national health care consultancy. He has developed comprehensive management
reporting structures and completed systems documentation and training for a publicly held educational services company and a major hand tool manufacturer. His bankruptcy skills include
the production of monthly reporting requirements and preference analysis.Before turning to consulting, Leo had been employed as Vice President of Finance and Accounting
for Washington Aluminum Company, Executive Vice President of The Daily Record and Controller for the law firm of Piper & Marbury. Leo began his career with Environmental Elements Corporation
where he was instrumental in the company's 1990 public offering. At the time of his departure he held the office of Vice President and Controller.
Leo graduated from LaSalle University with a BS in Accounting in 1973 and became a CPA in 1976. Leo is a member of the University of Baltimore's Business Advisory Council and a member of the
Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. |
