Nat Hamner has over thirty years of experience addressing strategic financial, market, operating and planning issues including acquisitions, refinance, budgeting, marketing strategy, sales planning, software, systems and operations performance.

Nat was CEO and CFO of a US consumer product manufacturer with over 200 employees in both east and west coast facilities.  In this consumer durable goods turnaround, Nat developed consistent profit performance in 15 months with new product designs; new channels of distribution; enhanced product quality; marked productivity improvements; supply chain improvements, and standard cost corrections.  Collectively, these changes provided opportunity for the multi-tier marketing strategy to achieve higher margin sales in distinct channels.

Nat has advised businesses on strategic, marketing, financial, valuation, M&A, and management accounting issues.  Select projects include: CFO for re-organization of a CAD software developer preparing for second round of Angel financing;  start-up web based data network integrating two industries with consumer interests;  a start-up industrial manufacturer;  ERP software selection for a fabricator and service company;  CFO for a computer reseller to the US government, internationally;  product develpment analysis and valuation analysis for a radiation hardened camera producer; marketing and sales plans for a domestic sportswear producer; financial re-structuring for mechanical contractor;  a strategic financial plan for a large residential remodeler;  strategic analysis of a lumber and flooring manufacturer; marketing plans for a window manufacturer; and new business location and start up plan for a structural steel rack manufacturer.  There have been non-profit consults for a private college, a private school, and rehabilitation counseling center.

Nat Hamner’s practical experience included two public companies.  Nat surved Owens & Minor's Medical-Surgical Division in Corporate Development, Planning & Budgeting, Software development, Marketing, and Sales Training.  The growth and acquisitions of the 80's helped O&M became the largest medical-surgical supplier to American hospitals.  Nat began his career as a Sales Manager with American Express, moving to Marketing Director with the Credit Card Division in New York.

Nat Hamner has helped companies in start-up stage, growth mode, mature, and post mature stages.  He firmly believes that attention to details and disciplined analysis are vital ingredients of the risk analysis that supports overall strategic insights and sound deductions.

Mr. Hamner received his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and his BS from William and Mary in Bio/Chemistry.  Nat has been a member of the American Marketing Association, board of the Business Workout Council, and the board of the Business Finance & Turnaround Association.  Nat also finds time for several church and civic organization efforts.
